Kunshan Xintao Precision Components Co., Ltd. was founded by Mr. Gu Borong and his wife, Ms. Jin Yuqing, both of whom have devoted their careers to the precision hairspring industry.
In their early years, they worked at the Shanghai Precision Instrument Hairspring Factory. In the 1960s, responding to the national initiative to support industrial development in inland China, they relocated to Chengjiang Town, Beipei District, Chongqing, where they participated in the establishment of the Chongqing Southwest Hairspring Factory.
In 1985, eight families involved in this development program chose to relocate to Kunshan, Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, where they jointly established the Experimental Factory of the Kunshan Institute of Instrumentation Components. Mr. Gu Borong served as Technical Factory Director, leading the improvement of production equipment, research and development, and the design of new products. Ms. Jin Yuqing served as Workshop Manager of the hairspring production department, overseeing the prototyping and trial production of new products.
With decades of hands-on experience in hairspring manufacturing, production processes, and product innovation, they developed deep technical expertise and made significant contributions to the advancement of precision spring technology.
Building on this strong foundation, Kunshan Xintao Precision Components Co., Ltd. was established in 2005 and is located in Kunshan, Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, China. Today, the company specializes in the manufacture of ultra-precision hairsprings and precision components, serving customers in the industrial and high-end manufacturing sectors worldwide.
